Wind Run details Wind Run is a measure of the amount of wind in a particular location over a period of time. It is the average wind speed over the previous 24 hours and is measured at 9AM. So for example a daily wind run of 120km equates to an average wind speed of 5km/h (24 hours x 5 km/h is 120km). It provides a good comparison between locations on how windy a place is and also becomes useful in the planning of wind farms etc.

Important note on this information This weather station is a privately owned weather station for observing and collecting weather information for a specific location. It does not meet the standards of weather collection as set by organisations such as the Bureau of Meteorology. As an example, wind speed should be measured in an open area where there are no restrictions, this is not possible as our block is in a valley with considerable trees and houses. For this reason, you should not rely on the data found here. It needs to be interpreted correctly. Powered by WebRing®. Information and Data on this site are copyright and all rights are reserved.
